Getting the most out of your club
We don’t want to be one of those clubs where 10% of the people are doing 90% of the work.
We believe our club will do the most good when all its members are actively involved, so if you see a need, or have ideas, don’t be shy about stepping up! You can send your ideas by using the contact form and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Club Officers: Elections for the positions of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary (Keeper of the Notes) are held annually by the board. You have to be a member for at least a year before running for one of these positions. Club Officers meet monthly with the board, or as needed, to try to keep the ball rolling.
Board: Board members are elected annually, and serve vital roles in advising and influencing the direction and activities of the club. Board members are always involved in the monthly board meeting.
Workout Leaders: Workout leaders for weekly or special workouts (swims, cycling, runs) just need to “be there” at the group workouts to assist or lead, as needed. You might be the one who hands out the cue sheets, or directs the swim workout, or heads back into the woods to find that lost runner.
Benefits Coordinator: The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for scouring the countryside to ferret out benefits for club members, like our discounts at various stores, or special prices from coaches.
Other Stuff: We need mentors, photographers, table workers, race volunteers, cooks, grill-meisters, publicity specialists, etc…
Fill in the blank: Can you think of a way to get involved we haven’t listed here? If so, contact us and let’s get it going!
